Summer Intern

Faith Church is a whirlwind of activity!

My name is Brian Gillespie and am the Pastoral Intern at Faith Church for the summer months. I am a 4th year Bachelor of Theology student at Emmanuel Bible College, here in Kitchener. Of all my courses and field education placements, I have most looked forward to my internship taking place. It has begun and is off to a great start!

We serve an AMAZING God! If my life was an orchestra, then He is the perfect Conductor! As I reflect upon my life and its significant moments, I am astounded to see how God has used so many people and experiences to bring me where I am today. That being said, I feel very much like I am only just at the very beginning of something really big; God is at work. Saying this feels strange, as I have already been married to my wonderful wife for over 14 years and have four fantastic children - 2 of life's "major milestones." Perhaps this is because I am entering my final year of studies at EBC and my tendency as a man to define my life by my occupation is dominating my feelings, yet, I believe it has more to do with God building towards something immense. To go with the orchestra analogy, God is still building toward a great climax in my life. With His help, I hope my life's symphony is pleasing to His ears, and can bring a few others to Him.

As I continue to work here at the church, your prayers and encouragement are greatly appreciated. Throughout the summer, I hope to offer more insights from my time here and the experiences that God has brought into my life. I hope this will bring God all the glory for the great things He is doing at Faith Evangelical Missionary Church!
